Brett Favre Retires

Yes, it's that time of year again, the annual Brett Favre retirement. But this time, he means it.

What is so different this time around? To begin with, his last year as quarterback of the Jets was a disappointment, to say the least. He did suffer an injury to his throwing arm, and is avoiding surgery. He is 39, which even lessens the chance of full recovery.

The Jets are now seeking a new QB, and the pool is rather sparse. But here is what will happen.

Come May, Brett will be back to help out the Jets as a back up QB. Just a transitional guy until the new young gun, whoever he may be, steps in. Would I put money on this scenario? No, but don't be surprised if it happens.

Is A-Rod baseball's Britney Spears?

The parallels between them are pretty amazing. Both of them left marriages, both have done crazy crap, and well, they both had the same 'do.
As the A-Rod meltdown continues, one can only wonder just how bad the fallout will be.
At home, in Yankee Stadium, he'll hear a lot of insults, but on the road, well, it's going to suck to be him.

Two weeks ago, A-Rod was a can't miss HOF first rounder. Today, who knows what is going to happen? He claims he only used for a 3 year period, but if a player is a known cheater, why should he be believed? How long until he's doing bong hits with Michael Phelps?

I'm just disgusted.

He will be the punchline of comic's jokes for at least the next few months.
