Is A-Rod baseball's Britney Spears?

The parallels between them are pretty amazing. Both of them left marriages, both have done crazy crap, and well, they both had the same 'do.
As the A-Rod meltdown continues, one can only wonder just how bad the fallout will be.
At home, in Yankee Stadium, he'll hear a lot of insults, but on the road, well, it's going to suck to be him.

Two weeks ago, A-Rod was a can't miss HOF first rounder. Today, who knows what is going to happen? He claims he only used for a 3 year period, but if a player is a known cheater, why should he be believed? How long until he's doing bong hits with Michael Phelps?

I'm just disgusted.

He will be the punchline of comic's jokes for at least the next few months.

Go Yankees

In my opinion, dopers and cheaters should leave the game. The use of drugs, and the bad conduct from all sports figures warrants action from not only the managers and team owners, but the public as well. Sure, they can claim that they do not want to be " role models " for anyone, but kids do look to sports stars as an inspiration in their own lives. Any fan of the game should turn their back to these players and send a message that cheating will make you an outcast

@ Lot2learn: I'm with you on that. I know many say they don't want to be role models. Too bad, it goes with the job, right alongside the 8 figure payday.

When your kid who idolizes this rich ball player asks you to explain the situation and then wants to know if it is true, in a kid's black and white world, what do you tell him? And why oh why are there no legal ramifications?!

@ Anon: Everything is tied up in legal crap. Part of the collective bargaining agreement.

I think ARod knew exactly what he was doing and exactly what he was putting in his body. I say - release the list of the other 200 from 2003-2004.
